Meeting Minutes
July 5, 2011
Memorial Town Hall

MEMBERS PRESENT:
Mark Johnson, Bruce Pennino

OTHERS PRESENT:
Andrea Crete, Board of Health Agent and Recording Secretary

M. Johnson called the Board of Health Meeting to order at 5:35 PM

SEPTIC PLAN REVIEW:  371 Bullard Street, failed Title 5 so the system is being upgraded.  This plan calls for a separation to ground water from 4 feet to 3 feet.  This requires a local upgrade approval from the Board of Health.  M. Johnson asked A. Crete to call Seth LaJoie, the septic plan designer, to find out why a poly barrier is used as it does not seem needed.  If the engineer wants to keep the poly barrier the Board wants to see it wrap around the sides of the leach field.  M. Johnson motioned to approve the plans with the Local Upgrade Approval of the offset to groundwater.  B. Pennino seconded.  All in favor, APPROVED.

Documents presented during review:  Septic Plans, 371 Bullard St., Edith L. Pierson, dated 6/17/11.

MEETING MINUTES:
  • May 17, 2011:  M. Johnson motioned to approve with some corrections, B. Pennino seconded.  All in favor.  APPROVED.
Documents presented during review:  May 17th meeting minutes can be viewed at the Town Clerks office.

OTHER BUSINESS:  A. Crete told the Board about a meeting at the Worcester Department of Public Health on 25 Meade Street, Worcester in regards to regionalization.  The meeting is on July 20th at 1:00 PM, and is only for the Board of Health members, agents and directors.  A. Crete suggested the Board members attend this meeting to get more information about regionalizing and to have any questions or concerns they may have answered.  M. Johnson stated he would attend.  B. Pennino will try to attend.  A. Crete will also be attending.

Next Meeting:  To be determined.
